Art Basel 2013 – Unlimited

Art Basel’ is the most important art fair with 70.000 visitors this year. More than 300 galleries exhibited over 4.000 artist. The highlight was the ‘Unlimited’ exhibition with large-scale sculptures, video projections, installations, wall paintings, photographic and performance art by artists across the globe. See here a selection of large-scale art projects.

Fairytale by Ai Weiwei; Ladies dormitory. In 2007, Ai Weiwei was invited to participate at the documenta 12 in Kassel / Germany. He invited 1001 Chinese to visit the event and he converted a former factory into an accommodation hall for the visitors.

  1. Oh, wunderbar! Danke für die schöne Zusammenfassung. Dies ist einer der Events, auf die ich schon seit Jahren mal möchte! Ich hatte gar nicht so grosse Installationen erwartet. Ich war auf der letzten Dokumenta in Kassel, die anscheinend ähnlich aufgebaut war, nur viel dunkler und trister. Toller Post!
