Now summer has given way to autumn, and it has become really cold. I sit here with a cup of tea, reminiscing about the holiday we just spent in Tuscany. If you would like to join me, do please get in, shut the doors, and enjoy!
Let’s start with my dream cottage, which I found through AirBnB. It was the first time we booked an accommodation with AirBnB, and it was fabulous. Alec and Cristina have a charming cottage in the Tuscan hills near Florence, with a stunning view of the valley. A perfect place to relax and to enjoy the last few sunny days.
It is a traditional country house furnished with a mix of modern elements, and has an amazing personal style. There were such wonderful fixtures like the bathroom lamp that looked like a boy sitting on the sink; the little glass cubes in the bathroom window that glistened in the sun; the ultramodern white staircase, hardly expected in a Tuscan house; the amazing view from the bedroom window in the morning; the nice loft bed in the study room; the beautiful private garden; and the row of succulents planted along the iron gate.
I hope you enjoy all the pictures. Coming up soon: a post about our excursions in the surroundings.
