“Archive Trails – wallpaper based on historical designs”
A new season has started and I just attended the interesting “Münchner Stoff Frühling“ fair. During four days some of the highest quality manufacturers for interiors present their new collections. I visited my favorites showrooms and had a peek into the amazing new fabrics, wallpapers and paint colours.
Let’s start with Little Greene today. Their latest wallpaper collection “Archive Trails“ is based on historical archival material and smartly adapted to today’s interior design style. The company’s focus lies on flower motifs from antique English and French wallpapers, traditionally painted by hand in the early 18th century. It is absolutely incredible to imagine that they used to decorate a room, or even a house, with hand drawn wallpapers. Little Greene has retained the hand drawn character in the designs and it was a pleasure to see and touch these amazingly beautiful wallpapers.
“Blue – new colours for 2016”
After publicising their successful “Grey“ colour scheme in 2013, Little Greene launch a capsule collection of trendy “Blue“ shades. 21 blue colours, starting from indigo blue up to bright natural shades. One special unique colour, “Ultra Blue“using only the Ultramarine pigment, which was originally extracted from Lapis Lazuli, is mixed by hand and only available in limited quantities.
